Officials make water rescue, caution boaters about cold waters

Despite warmer temperatures, officials are still cautioning boaters who are taking to the waters this time of year.

The Huron County Sheriff's department rescued a woman from the Saginaw Bay in Caseville Township Saturday morning.

They say her sailboat capsized.

First responders and witnesses were able to assist the woman out of the water.

She was taken to the hospital to be treated for hypothermia.

Authorities warn that water temperatures remain very cold this time of year.
