The Saginaw County Commissioners honored the 'One Hundred Club of Saginaw County' for their efforts in helping families of fallen firefighters and police officers.
The commissioners presented the club with a certificate and read a resolution to show support for the club's work in the community.
Members of the club provide financial support for the families of first responders who have been killed in the line of duty in Saginaw County.
"We're there to respond just as soon as we hear about it, we're there within 24 hours delivering a check to the family then meeting with them later to make sure that they can meet the immediate needs from someone has given the ultimate sacrifice", says club Vice President Patrick McGraw.
The 'One Hundred Club of Saginaw' has raised more than $1 million dollars since the organization's inception in 1996.
