One man dead, one woman in jail following Vienna Township crash
VIENNA TOWNSHIP, Mich. – One man is dead, another injured and a woman is behind bars following a two-vehicle crash in Vienna Township.
It happened around 12 a.m. Friday on North Saginaw Road near Hayward Drive.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to find an accident involving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado and a 1998 Buick Lesabre.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Buick suffered significant damage with two occupants trapped inside.
The 52-year-old male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene while the 64-year-old male driver was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in fair condition.
Sheriff’s officials say the Silverado’s 27-year-old driver was treated at the hospital before being taken into police custody.
She is currently being held at the Genesee County Jail facing a charge of operating while intoxicated causing death.
All three individuals involved were from Clio, but none have yet been identified by Sheriff's officials.
