Just in time for the upcoming winter games, The Midland Curling Club offered an open house.
About 20 curlers showed up Saturday to learn how to slide the stone.
The sweeping is done to clean the ice and make the stone go further The club has surged to 260 members over the past years.
??It??s a lot of fun to watch somebody come out attempt the sport they have seen but don't understand, walk away if not coming back to club as a member but at least understand the sport a little bit better,?? says Chris Gaumer, president of The Midland Curling Club.
The club is sending their junior curlers to the national championships in Seattle next week.
