Oscoda Police initially ruling two deaths a murder-suicide

Monday evening the Oscoda Township Police arrived at 8205 A Florida to find a father and son dead of gunshot wounds.

Police were called to the home by family members concerned because they had not heard from Kenneth Neal, the resident there, in five days.

The police found Kenneth Neal, who was 47-years-old, dead of a gunshot wound.

The police then located Hunter Neal, 18-years-old and Kenneth Neal's son, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Oscoda Township Police, Iosco County EMS and the Michigan State Police Forensic Laboratory assisted at the scene and with the investigation.

The initial ruling is that the deaths are "consistent with a murder-suicide."
