The parents of a 1-year-old boy who officials say drowned Monday in a bathtub will be charged with second-degree murder and child abuse.

Aden Wise celebrated his first birthday just over a week ago.

On Monday, Flint Police say the child died when he was left alone in a bathtub full of water.

Officials are blaming the child's parents, a 19-year-old woman and a 29-year old man.

Police say the parents called officials when they discovered one-year-old Aden face-down in a bathtub full of water Monday around 8:30p.m.

It happened at the family's home at 3236 Holly Avenue.

Officials transported the child to the hospital where they pronounced him dead.

We are withholding the man and woman's name until they are formally arraigned Thursday.

The accused parents are being held in the Flint City lockup.

The Genesee County prosecutor plans to use Dominick's Law to prosecute the couple.
