Parents on high alert in eastern Genesee Co. after incident at park

Law enforcement in Richfield Township and surrounding areas still on the lookout for a man they say approached children at the Richfield BMX Park.

The incident happened last week and was reported to park officials and then police.

The same man was also reportedly engaging in "suspicious activity" while in his car at the park two days later.

He is described as white, in his 60's, with medium length gray hair and glasses.

His vehicle is a tan four-door car with rust spots.

"If anything happened to your children, its the end of the world and to have somebody out here like that is just sad and it makes you wonder what's wrong with people these days," said Richfield Township resident and mother Sabrina Quick.

Davison Community Schools sent an email to parents of students reminding them to review the importance of staying away from strangers with their kids.

Richfield Township Police also confirming that a suspicious man seen driving around the Tiger Run subdivision was a claims adjuster for an insurance company surveying homes for storm damage, and does not pose a threat to the neighborhood.
