Northbound U.S. 23 in Fenton has reopened.

Officials are still working to clear the scene after a fire on a semi-truck hauling vehicles.

Details about the cause of the fire have not been released.

U.S. 23 northbound at Thompson Road is being shut down at this time due to a vehicle fire.

According to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) the expressway was shut down at about 11:20 this morning.
