Person of interest in custody for 2-year-old's death

Flint Police and Michigan State Police have ruled the death of a 2-year-old a homicide.

Police were called to a Flint home Friday afternoon for a call that a child was not breathing at the Evergreen Regency Complex in Flint.

When officials arrived they say the mother was trying to resuscitate the child.

The 2-year-old was transported to a hospital where officials pronounced the child dead.

An autopsy has revealed the 2-year-old died of internal injuries.

Police say a person of interest is in custody and charges are pending.
