      Police: alcohol thought to be involved in deadly motorcycle crash


      Michigan State Police believe alcohol played a factor in a Bay County motorcyle crash that killed an 83-year-old man.


      The accident happened Saturday around 10:30a.m. at the intersection of M-13 and Cottage Grove Roads in Kawkawlin Township.


      Police say an 83-year-old Bernard Groulx was driving a motorcyle and struck the back of a car waiting to make a left hand turn.


      That vehicle was driven by 55-year-old Karen Reeves.


      Groulx was pronounced dead at the scene.


      Officials say he was wearing a helmet.


      They believe alcohol was involved.


      Police are still investigating the incident.
