Police: alcohol thought to be involved in deadly motorcycle crash

Michigan State Police believe alcohol played a factor in a Bay County motorcyle crash that killed an 83-year-old man.

The accident happened Saturday around 10:30a.m. at the intersection of M-13 and Cottage Grove Roads in Kawkawlin Township.

Police say an 83-year-old Bernard Groulx was driving a motorcyle and struck the back of a car waiting to make a left hand turn.

That vehicle was driven by 55-year-old Karen Reeves.

Groulx was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say he was wearing a helmet.

      They believe alcohol was involved.

Police are still investigating the incident.
