Police have two suspects in custody following Frankenmuth robbery

Using what police called "location technology" two suspects that police say were involved in a Frankenmuth robbery have been captured.

Yesterday morning armed suspects entered the Funky Skunk, a store in the Frankenmuth River Place Shops.

The suspects, who were wearing ski masks, got away with an unknown amount of cash.

The Frankenmuth Police Department and the Michigan State Police identified a person of interest later that same day in the City of Saginaw.

While searching the city an unmarked Frankenmuth police car spotting the person of interest in a vehicle traveling on Genesee Street. The vehicle carrying the person of interest pulled into a motel.

It was there that police from Frankenmuth, the City of Saginaw, the Saginaw County Sheriff's Office, and the Michigan State Police took two people into custody.

Both were described as "uncooperative" and are now being housed in the Saginaw County Jail.

Police then searched the vehicle they followed to the motel as well as the motel room rented by the suspects. There the police say they found items linked to the robbery such as cash, rolled coins, bank bags, financial paperwork, and what police say are the gunman's clothes.

Additionally police found illegal drugs and paraphernalia in the room.

The police are still looking into the possibility of a third suspect.

The names of the two men in custody are being withheld until charges have been issued.
