Police investigate death at Flint GM plant

Grief councelor's are on hand for employees.

General Motors Flint Assembly Plant was closed Tuesday afternoon as police investigated a death at the plant.

According to a GM spokesman, an employee took his own life at the plant.

GM is working with local authorities as they investigate the incident.

In a statement released to the media GM says, "Our condolences and deepest sympathies go to the employee's family and colleagues."

No other injuries have been reported.

According to a GM, Flint Assembly resumed production on the second shift at 5:30 p.m.

Third shift employees are asked to report for work tonight as scheduled.

The company is providing grief for workers on both shifts.

Employees can meet with counselors as needed.
