Police investigating as potential homicide after man killed by large rock on I-75
***UPDATE*** Genesee County Sheriff’s Office confirms the department is meeting with the prosecutor regarding the investigation and they are expected to release more information this morning.

VIENNA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NBC25/FOX66 Newsroom) - Genesee County Sheriff’s office is investigating an accident as a possible homicide after a man was killed by a large rock through a windshield on I-75.
Sheriff’s say on Wednesday, Oct. 18, around 8:30 p.m. Genesee County Sheriffs were called an unknown accident on southbound I-75, near the Dodge Road overpass. Sheriff’s say a preliminary investigation shows a southbound vehicle was struck in the windshield by a large rock. The rock penetrated the windshield fatally wounding the passenger, a 32-year-old Genesee County resident. The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police and family have confirmed the identity of the 32-year-old victim as Kenneth Andrew White.
Sheriff’s say large rocks also hit four other cars and were at the scene waiting for police when the accident occurred. Sheriff’s say their office believes that those rocks may have been taken from another location, and thrown over the overpass.
The Office of Genesee County Sheriff says they are investigating this incident as a potential homicide.
Sheriff’s ask if anyone has information about this incident that includes any suspicious activities, dashcam footage, home surveillance footage, in that area between the hours of 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., to call the Office of Genesee County Sheriff at 810-257-3422 or anonymously at Crime Stoppers 1-800-422-JAIL.
