Police investigating double homicide in Saginaw

Bullets pierced a house on South Michigan Avenue near Perry Street in Saginaw after two people were shot and killed. Another person was also shot. He is recovering at a local hospital.

â??Itâ??s an apartment house, three apartments,â?? says Lisa who did not give her last name. She lives in one of those apartments. Loud bangs woke her up early Wednesday morning.

â??I looked out the window and the place was surrounded by police cars and ambulances,â?? says Lisa.

Dozens of neighbors gathered outside the house Wednesday. Neighbors say the house serves as a transition home.

â??I would say they (the victims) were in their late 20's, mid to late 20's,â?? says Lisa.

â??Three males shot, two were deceased on the scene and one was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds,â?? says Lt. Brian Cole, public information officer for Michigan State Police.

As police piece together what caused the shooting, neighbors remain on edge.

â??Since Iâ??ve lived here in the four years, this is the sixth person so I mean this is pretty ridiculous,â?? says Jared Andrews, a neighbor.

Police are hoping someone speaks up.

â??We need witnesses who know what occurred in this shooting to come forward,â?? adds Cole.
