Police looking for man convicted of sex crime, wanted for attempted murder

35-year-old Anthony Beaurem

A reward has been issued for information leading to the arrest of a man convicted of sex crimes and wanted for attempted murder.

35-year-old Anthony Beaurem was convicted of "Lewd or lascivious acts with child under 14 years" in California back in 1996, according to Michigan's sex registry website.

Beaurem is also wanted for attempted murder and five counts of armed robbery, in connection to a Flushing Township break-in last year.

In that break-in, multiple suspects forced the homeowner's girlfriend and her three daughters into a room and demanded money. The robbers also went through a gun safe and took a long gun, some jewelry, a cell phone and six jars of marijuana.

The homeowner took chase when the suspects left. One of the suspects fired at the homeowner, Daniel Sweet, striking him in the arm.

Beaurem is also wanted because he has not informed authorities of his current address, which is required of all sex offenders.

CRIMESTOPPERS is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the capture of Beaurem. People with information should call 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
