Police looking for suspect in morning robbery at Freeland bank

A bank in Freeland was robbed this morning at about 9, according to the Michigan State Police.
The Chemical Bank located on the 200 block of Main Street was robbed by a man claiming to have a gun. While the gun was not seen, police are treating this as an armed robbery.
Police described the suspect as being a white, 5' 10" tall, heavyset man with a beard and mirrored sunglasses. He was wearing blue jeans, a white polo-style shirt with blue horizontal stripes, and a white University of Michigan hat with a yellow-outlined "M."
The suspect is believed to have left in a 2003 or 2004 four-door teal Chevy Malibu. After the robbery, the vehicle headed northbound on Midland Road toward Midland County.
Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating the robbery, including the Tittabawassee Township Police, the Saginaw County Sheriff, the Michigan State Police Tri-City Post, and the FBI.
