First things first, the Storm Prediction Center has placed us in the Slight severe risk category for Monday.
Timing for storms is tricky mainly because of the amount of unstable air at what time of day.
Plus the timing of the shortwave moving our way, so there are a ton of factors to look at.
What I am looking at is later in the afternoon, through the evening and overnight into Tuesday morning.
The main threats will be strong winds, hail, and of course heavy downpours.
There is the chance the severe threat gets pushed further back to a later part of Monday night, but looking at models and the data now I do not believe that will be the case.
Beyond that the week shapes up well with moderate heat and sunshine returning for the 4th!
Oh, and the United States World Cup team should be playing in partly cloudy conditions around 78 degrees.
