Proactive patrol nets man making, possessing Meth in Midland County

The Midland County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for possessing and making Meth. This is what they found in his vehicle.

A 23-year-old man was arrested by the Midland County Sheriff's Office for possessing and making Methamphetamine.

The man was spotted by Sergeant Michael Sutherland while out doing a proactive patrol. He spotted a white Dodge Caravan at the intersection of Kent and Magrudder in Jasper that looked as if it had been there for a while.

When the driver of the Caravan spotted Sergeant Sutherland, he pulled into a private drive and exited the vehicle.

Sgt. Sutherland spoke to the driver who claimed he was looking for a friend who lived nearby.

The residents of the home whose driveway the Caravan pulled into said that no such person lived there.

At this point the driver of the Caravan was asked by Sgt. Sutherland if he could search the vehicle. The driver consented.

In the Caravan there was a white crystal substance that tested positive for Meth. There was also drain cleaners, lithium batteries and plastic bottles.

The driver was arrested and taken to the Midland County Jail.
