Property where car parts found had been rented

The son of a man who formerly owned property where car parts were found fitting the model of a vehicle suspected in a decades-old series of Michigan child killings says the property had been rented out to various people.

Michael Kramer's father, Hyman, bought the property in the 1960s and sold it in the 1990s. Michael Kramer says a small dairy farm and hunting lodge formerly were on the land.

A retirement community opened there in 2006.

The Oakland County Child Killer Task Force was notified after parts of a blue Gremlin were found this month in Genesee County's Grand Blanc Township, near Flint.

One of four children killed between February 1976 and March 1977 was seen talking to a man in a blue Gremlin.
