Recalled beef sold at Gordon Food Service

In a release, Gordon Food Service says that some of the recalled beef from Wolverine Packaging was sold in their Marketplace stores.

Wolverine Packaging recalled 1.8 million pounds of ground beef because of fears of E. coli contamination.

GFS Marketplace says that they stock one of the products that is being recalled. It is the Fresh Premium Angus Beef Steakburger Patty, 10 count, 4 pound package. The package was produced between March 31, 2014 and April 18, 2014.

In the release, GFS says they notified their stores to dispose of all of the recalled product and to display a notice about the recall.

GFS also says that any customer who purchased the product should dispose of it immediately. They are offering a 100% refund with receipt or product packaging.

E. coli can cause severe cramps, nausea and diarrhea, as well as other complications.
