Record breaking snowstorm for Flint

Plows were out working trying to keep ahead of the more than 17" of snow that fell.

The National Weather Service in Detroit just released the final number for our winter storm, ranking it the third largest storm in Flint's history.

The final tally from January 4-5, 2014 is 17.1", just missing the second largest storm by two tenths of an inch. Additional snow today will not count towards the total as the storm is gone, and snow today will be a result of lake effect. More information is available here.
