The National Weather Service has confirmed that the low temperature at Flint Bishop International Airport dropped to -13 this morning.
That ties the record low for the date set in 2000.
This record low, and the major snowstorm a few weeks ago, are working towards making this January one of the coldest and snowiest on record for the city of Flint. As of this morning, we only need 3.5" of snow before the 1st of February in Flint to make January 2014 the snowiest on record.
We'll have to see where we end up for the coldest, but a top 10 coldest January is a definite possibility.
