Congressman-elect Dan Kildee will be sworn in Thursday at noon on the House floor to become a part of the 113th Congress.
Kildee takes over as the representative for the 5th Congressional District.
He fills the seat of his uncle, Dale Kildee who is retiring after more than 35 years.

Prior to the November election, Rep.-Elect Kildee served as Genesee County Treasurer, he created the Genesee County Land Bank and formed the Center for Community Progress.
