A power pole was knocked down and a restaurant was damaged when a vehicle struck both structures early this morning.
At about 1:30 this morning a vehicle struck a power pole in Saginaw Township on State Street and Midland Road. The vehicle then continued forward and struck Patty Fleming's Pub.
Consumers Energy is on the scene working to restore power in the immediate area. Consumers Energy officials tell NBC25 that power is expected to be restored by 11 this morning. Less than 20 total customers are without power right now due to the power line being down, according to the Consumers Energy website.
The owner of Patty Fleming's says that this is the third time someone has struck the building in the last two years.
Westbound State Street remains closed at this time. It is expected to reopen at noon.
Saginaw Township Police are not confirming any injuries at this time.
