Tonight at 11, NBC25??s Walter Smith-Randolph examines the effects of Michigan??s new Right to Work law. Passed in December, the legislation was a hot topic with protestors from both sides flooding Michigan??s state capitol.
Tonight, Walter sits down with Frank Burger, a teacher in the Carmen-Ainsworth school district and president of the district??s teachers union who is not happy with the new law. We??ll also hear from Brian Pannebaker, who is a fan of the new law. Pannebaker is a member of the UAW and works at Ford??s Sterling Heights plant. Also explaining the effects of the new law is Robert Boonin, a Detroit area lawyer who specializes in labor law.
