The Saginaw County Health Department along with the Centers for Disease Control are letting people know about the dangers of lead poisoning.
Sunday kicked off a week of awareness called "lead free kids for a healthy future."
Officials are urging people to test their homes for lead especially if they were built before 1978.
You can also get your child tested for lead poisoning.
Health officials say children under the age of six are at greater risk when exposed to lead.
To learn more you can attend a health fair called "don't let lead scare you."
It's being held at the Saginaw County Department of Public Health Wednesday from 3-5p.m.
