Saginaw investigating two separate homicides overnight

Saginaw was hit with two separate and unrelated homicides overnight, police say.
These homicides mark the 16th and 17th homicides of the year for the city.
The first homicide took place on the 1100 block of E. Holland. Police were called out at about 11:35 pm on Tuesday night.
There they found the 48 year-old victim, who was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
The second homicide was located at 9th and Perkins. Police say when they arrived they found a man in his 30's who appeared to have been shot.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police believe that the two incidents are unrelated.
The Michigan State Police and the Saginaw Police Department are working together and seeking suspects in both cases.
The investigations are ongoing.
