Saginaw police investigating 5th homicide of the year, victim ID'd

UPDATE: Saginaw Police department has identified the shooting victim as 20-year-old Detorrion Liddell.

SAGINAW, Mich. -- Saginaw police say they are investigating the city’s 5th homicide of the year.

On Tuesday, March 6 around 4:30 p.m. Saginaw police were called to South 19th and Janes Street for multiple shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old man in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers say the man died on scene.

Police say the initial investigation showed that the 20-year-old man was at one point in a vehicle at the scene. Detectives also initiated a search warrant of a residence at the scene and collected evidence.

The investigation is still on-going.
