Suspect in Saginaw County bank robberies has been caught

UPDATE: Police say the suspect has been caught. More information expected to be released later this morning.


SAGINAW, Mich. – The Saginaw Police Department and Michigan State Police are seeking a man wanted in connection with three robberies at area banks.

Sixty-one-year-old Derrick Morris is wanted for robbing or attempting to rob the Chemical Bank located at 100 S. Michigan, the Saginaw County Employees Credit Union located at 1700 Court, and the Family First Credit Union located 1011 N. Michigan.

All of the incidents took place over the last ten days.

Anyone with information on Morris’ whereabouts is asked to call the Saginaw Police Department at 989-759-1598 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.
