Saginaw police seize 12 guns, make 6 arrests in two days

Police seized these guns during a raid on the 900 block of Norman Street. Another 6 guns were also seized in separate incidents over the course of the last two days.

The Saginaw Police Department has announced that a dozen guns, over $2,000 and six arrests have been made over the last two days.

The first gun and arrest was the result of a shots fired report in Birch Park.

Then three guns were collected during traffic stops, with three guns recovered and two arrests made.

BAYANET also seized five handguns and shotgun, along with $2,100 during a raid on the 900 block of Norman Street. They also made three arrests.

"We are very excited about the continued efforts and success due to the collaborations of multiple law enforcement agencies. We hope that the citizens of Saginaw are excited as well because the contribution of consistent tips continues to lead to valid arrests. As a city I believe we are continuing to move in the right direction, " said Detective Sergeant Reginald Williams of the Saginaw Police Department.
