Salvation Army holds toy distribution for families in need
FLINT, Mich. - Families in Genesee and Shiawassee Counties received some early Christmas presents Thursday morning.
This was all part of the Salvation Army's Toy Shop Distribution.
Food, toys, pajamas and coats were given to families registered for the program.
"Our donations from red kettle supply this program and programs all year round, but it's so nice today to look at the families' faces and see the hope, see the joy, see the tears of joy sometimes to be able to supply Christmas for the kids,” said Caleb Senn of the Genesee County Salvation Army.
This Christmas will be a little brighter for over 500 families and their children.
