Schuette: Michigan Constitution stands in wake of Supreme Court decision

In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in United States v. Windsor and Hollingsworth v. Perry the Michigan Constitution stands.

Attorney General Bill Schuette saying, "The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that states, not the federal government, retain the constitutional authority to define marriage. Michigan's Constitution stands and the will of the people define marriage as between one man and one women endures in the Great Lakes State."
