Strong storms rolled through the Grand Blanc area this evening knocking down large tree branches and knocking out power to nearly two hundred customers.
The storm hit hardest along Saginaw road, hammering homes and businesses with torrential rain and large hail.
Strong wind gusts caused most of the tree damage, and left residents surprised at how quickly they ripped through.
"I thought it was a tornado" says Grand Blanc resident Dave Lalone. "It started out with the rain and the hail and then a real hard blast of wind just like a wave just came through, real quick and then it was gone but it sure did a number when it was here".
There was no tornado and all watches and warnings expired earlier tonight.
Consumers Energy says power should be restored to everyone by tomorrow morning.
