After a relatively quiet Independence Day weekend, active weather is returning to the area.
A cold front is coming through on Wednesday morning, and thunderstorms will form out ahead of it on Tuesday evening.
Some of the storms could be severe with high winds being the main threat.
Hail greater than 1" in diameter and an isolated tornado will be secondary and tertiary threats.
Behind the front, less-humid air will filter into the area on Wednesday afternoon.
Cooler temperatures will slowly become apparent as well.
In fact, our forecast high on Thursday is only 78° degrees with a night time low of 55°.
