Severe weather moves through Mid-Michigan

Potentially severe thunderstorms are moving through southern Saginaw County right now, carrying with them heavy rains and high-speed winds.

We are hearing reports of damage in the Birch Run area ranging from trees on top of houses and cars near Curtis and Townline roads.

In addition, NBC25's Jane Park is seeing heavy flooding on Dixie Highway. She is also reporting trees have come down in southern Saginaw County, near Curtis and Townline Roads.

NBC25 Chief Meteorologist Ty Shesky is monitoring severe weather warnings for Sanilac County, as well as southern Huron and Tuscola counties.

The storm is moving at around 15 mph.
