Shotgun shell fired from flare gun sends two to hospital in critical condition

The Flint Police Department has confirmed that there were two shootings last night on Pinehurst Drive near Fenton Road.

A 36-year-old man and a women were taken to Hurley Medical Center in critical condition.

The shooting took place last night at around 11.

The Flint Journal reports that the man fired a shotgun shell into his head out of a flare gun, with the shot also hitting the woman.

There was reported to be a child in the home at the time as well, though the child was uninjured.
