Snow leads to I-69 closure, crashes & power outage

Another blanket of snow caused for treacherous driving conditions Saturday morning. Several accidents were reported and it forced the closure of I-69 in western Genesee County for a period of time.

In Grand Blanc Township, there was a brief power outage Saturday after a minor fender bender. The accident occurred on Hill road near Dort highway about 8:30 a.m.

Street lights at two intersections, Saginaw and Hill, and Dort and Hill were knocked out.

Crews from Consumers Energy responded and restored power a short time later.
