United States Postal Service employees say they will deliver mail through rain, sleet, snow, and dark of night. Now they can add one more to that list. They will deliver on Christmas day. Postal Carrier Brian Blowing has been delivering on the same route for almost his entire 15 years with the service. He says the days are long during the holiday season.

â??After I leave the station in the morning, itâ??s going to take me 6 hours to walk my route, with roughly 600 stops.â?? He says.

2014 is turning out to be a record year for deliveries for the USPS. On Monday, carriers delivered 28.2 million packages. And while other shipping companies like FedEx and UPS limited the number of parcels someone could ship, USPS offered lower fares, and more options for delivery. Denise Owen is the Officer in Charge of Flintâ??s main post office on Boulevard. She says crews will be working until late on Christmas Eve to get those last minute gifts under the trees for customers.

â??We are expecting another truck to come in this afternoon. As soon as it gets here, we will sort packages, and get it out to the customers,â?? Owen Explained. â??We also have carriers coming into work to deliver packages on Christmas day.â??
