Saturday's unseasonable weather did little to deter a citywide cleanup effort in Bay City.
With a hint of Winter definitely still in the air, hundreds of volunteers took to the streets of Bay City to take part in the mayor's annual "cleanup day."
With bags, brooms and shovels in hand, workers of all ages dug in to do some city-wide Spring cleaning including a team from Saginaw Valley State University.
"A part of being a college student is giving back to your community, helping out. We've been brushing sidewalks, pickup in trashy stuff, just trying to keep the neighborhood looking clean," says student, Keshara.
The cleanup is part of "The Big Day of Serving" program, a national youth mission event that coincides with Earth Day observances.
