Superhero boot camp held for children with autism
Saginaw, Mich. (WEYI) —
Dozens of kids and their family members were treated to a superhero autism event at the Saginaw Athletic Club on Saturday morning. Spider man, Batman, and other famous crime fighters provided an obstacle course and superhero training for dozens of kids with autism. Organizer Nicole Mulvihill says the event also helps parents connect with community resources.
"It's a place where people can come, it's a judgement free zone, and they can connect with other people. We have specialists here that they can talk to and get more information. It's also a chance for people to connect with other families in the area who are in a similar circumstance," Mulvihill says.
