Suspected Burton bank robber could be connected to Grand Blanc Twp. robbery

Burton police have arrested two men following a bank robbery Friday morning. Three men robbed a Family Community Bank on Bristol Road near Fenton around 10:40 a.m. Police traced license plate information to a home on Raskob near Ballenger Highway.

A SWAT team stood outside the home as a negotiator talked two men out of the home around 1:30 p.m. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

NBC25 has learned at least one of those men could have had a role in another bank robbery in Grand Blanc Township that happened an hour earlier. Police responded to State Bank on South Saginaw Street around 9:30 a.m. Bank employees say two black men ordered everyone to the ground and took off with an undisclosed amount of money. They left northbound in a possible dark blue or black Cadillac from the late 70s.

Anyone with information is asked to call Grand Blanc Township police or Crime Stoppers.
