SVSU freshman settle into new home

SVSU welcomes incoming freshman.

Saginaw Valley State University welcomed a new class of Cardinals today. Freshman from the class of 2018 began hauling in essentials.

More than 70 percent of freshman are living on SVSU's campus this year. There are an estimated 2,700 students in total living on campus.

Some incoming freshman say they are excited about the starting a new adventure.

"I'm kind of nervous but I'm excited at the same time," said Jillian McNeal, an incoming freshman. "It's a new journey, a new experience so, you're going to be nervous but you'll get over it sooner or later."

Classes start Monday. The students were assisted by upperclassmen who served as a moving crew today.
