SVSU has new appointments to Board of Control

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has announced two appointments to the Saginaw Valley State University Board of Control.

The Republican governor announced Wednesday that John Kunitzer of Saginaw and Dennis Durco of Pinckney will serve eight-year terms expiring July 21, 2021. Their appointments are subject to review by the state Senate.

The board is the university's governing body.

Kunitzer is the retired chief executive of Yeo & Yeo PC and is now a principal with the Saginaw-based accounting and tax firm. He replaces David Abbs on the board.

Durco is director of West Bloomfield-based Eclipse Capital Group. He replaces Leola Wilson.

The board is the university's governing body.
