The new head of Saginaw County is hoping to encourage more people to adopt pets

The new head of Saginaw County's Animal Control is getting in touch with his inner animal to encourage pet adoptions.

Kevin Wilken plans to show up to work in a dog costume on Saturday, March Second, and lock himself in a dog cage.

Volunteers will let Kevin out of the cage for 10 minutes every hour and take him for walks.

He hope this will encourage pepole to help find homes for shelter pets.

The adoption event will be held at the Saginaw County Animal Care Center from noon to 3:00 PM.
