Three arrests are made in the shooting death of six-year-old Layla Jones that happened Wednesday night.
Her father, Shawrone, was also shot and survived.
Saginaw police along with detectives, Michigan State Police, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, BAYANET, and the Emergency Services Team worked together Friday into Saturday.
Saginaw Police say they followed tips from community members which led to six search warrants and eventually the arrests of the three men allegedly responsible for the shootings.
Officials say the three men, all in their 20's, were apprehended locally.
Friday morning at a press conference, Layla's mother, Julie Polk asked the community to come forward if they had any information leading to the arrests of those who shot and killed her daughter.
Police say the tips they received helped in their investigation and urge more community members to come forward.
Officials are investigating whether these arrests could be related to the shooting-death of Bobby Bailey which occured hours before Layla Jones' death in the same neighborhood.
Anyone with additional information is asked to call police or Crimestoppers. 989-759-1288.
