Come Monday morning, the Michigan Department of Transportation will begin a $1-million construction project in Midland.
The intersection just east of Washington Street along M-20 near US-10 will soon have a roundabout.
MDOT officials say the $1.1-million project is for safety improvements, saying, roundabouts are easier to navigate, than traditional intersections.
During construction, westbound US-10 traffic will remain the same.
Meantime, eastbound US-10 traffic will be reduced to one lane.
The speed limit for the roundabout will be 25 miles-per-hour.
Construction is expected to be completed by late July
