Some scary moments on Michigan's iconic Mackinac Bridge.
According to UpNorthLive.com, the Bridge is back open after a semi tractor trailer tipped over while crossing it late last evening causing the bridge to be closed for hours.
The truck was headed northbound across the bridge when it left the roadway and came to a rest against the guardrail and the wires that support the bridge deck.
According to the Authority, the driver was not seriously injured. The accident did lead to delays for drivers, and at around 10 pm, the bridge was completely shut down while tow trucks were brought in to clear the scene.
High winds were reported by the National Weather Service at the time of the accident, but whether they played a role in the accident isn't being released at this time.
