Two dead after fatal fire in Flushing

Michigan State Police and local fire marshals are investigating the death of two people inside of a Flushing home.

Officials say the home, located on the 8500 block of Blossom Street, was fully engulfed by 7:15 Saturday morning. Flushing, Swartz Creek, and Montrose Township Fire Departments all responded to the fire.

When fire crews arrived the floor was collapsed and they took a defensive approach.

Later, they found two bodies inside the home.

Officials are not releasing any information about the victims at this time.

The Flushing Police Chief said that they are bringing in a crew today to tear down what remains of the home, so that no one is injured.
