Manhunt intensifies in Ortonville; victims in stable condition following double shooting
ORTONVILLE, Mich. – ***UPDATE***
The manhunt for 34-year-old Michael Quigley of Brandon Township has intensified.
Multiple agencies are in Ortonville searching for Quigley, who shot two people in the head Tuesday night.
The female believed to be Quigley's estranged wife was shot in the back of the head, and the male she was visiting with was shot in the eye, according to a news release from the Oakland County Sheriff.
Both victims are in intensive care, but are in stable condition.
The 3-year-old daughter of the male victim was in the apartment at the time of the shooting. She was not injured and was turned over to family members.
Police say it appears that at least five shots were fired during the incident.
Brandon School District, Clarkston Community Schools and Goodrich Area Schools all canceled classes because of the incident.
Lake Orion Schools and Murphy Elementary, which is a part of Lapeer Community Schools were placed in "soft lockdowns" or secure mode as well.

Two people have been shot in Ortonville as police search for the gunman.
A man and woman were shot Tuesday night in an apartment complex.
Both are in critical condition.
The shooting is being treated as domestic in nature by police.
A manhunt for the shooter is underway.
Police officials said they are looking for a man named Michael Quigley.
Quigley, 35, is believed to be married to the female victim of the shooting.
He has ties to Clarkston and the Lake Orion area.
Some residents were coming out of their homes armed, looking for the suspect.
Police however are telling people they need to stay indoors and hunker down.
