United Way Bay County is raising the bar to $1.15 million to meet a growing need in Bay County.
The organization is about $600,000 short of meeting their goal.
Several partner agencies like the YWCA and Habitat for Humanity rely on the United Way's funding for their own operations.
"If someone gives $1 a week in Bay County. We would be looking at, if everyone in Bay County that was working gave a dollar a week we would be looking at a campaign of over $3.3. That's what we could raise," said United Way Bay County Executive Director Michael Dewey.
The United Way is open and available at their downtown Bay City location for any donations of money or time. To contact the United Way Bay County call (989) 893-7508.
